Methods Analytics is announced as a winner at the 10th Annual DataIQ Awards

DataIQ’s prestigious awards honours companies and individuals that have demonstrated excellence in the data industry over the past 12 months.

London – 5th October, 2022 – Methods Analytics​​​​​​, an end-to-end data services provider, was announced as the recipient of the 2022 DataIQ Awards in the Persuading with Data category of the Data Literacy stream for the entry Responding to Covid-19: The UKHSA data science partnership persuading with data. DataIQ announced the winners at the awards ceremony on 29 September 2022, in London. Methods Analytics worked throughout the Covid-19 pandemic to collaborate with multiple directorates in order to provide an efficient and effective response to the pandemic in a rapidly changing-environment. The capabilities of Methods Analytics included forecasting patient levels for the NHS through various statistical models projecting hospitalisations, providing estimates and confidence intervals to chief medical officers to avoid the system becoming overwhelmed. Thanks to these efforts and the evidence provided by the data, policy-makers were able to make data-led critical decisions regarding restrictions, testing sites, vaccination campaigns and more.

Speaking on this remarkable achievement, Commercial and Strategy Director at Methods Analytics, Oliver Bailey said, “We’re delighted that DataIQ recognised MA’s efforts in enabling policy-makers make strategic decisions in a fast-changing world. This year, DataIQ received over 390 submissions, and over 100 different organisation and individuals were on the shortlist, making it their biggest awards ever. “The winners in 2022 are truly remarkable, from cost-saving analytics to Covid-19 tracking and vaccination programmes; from sustainable farming to diversity in recruitment; from senior data leaders and their teams to new talent.
